In recognition of Banned Books Week September 22-28, see a chronology of books that have been challenged with censorship from libraries.  http://www.ala.org/bbooks/frequentlychallengedbooks/classics
The Lake Worth Campus Library has some great new popular book reads.  The area is on the 3rd floor and there are some nice, comfy chairs near the book collection.  Here are a few of the titles:
Children of the Jacaranda Tree (Sahar Delijani); Americanah: a novel (Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie); Bad Monkey (Carl Hiaasen).  The books will make you laugh and cry and the collection will have frequent new additions, including some nonfiction titles.

Frescoes by Stephen Gibson

Poetry Month is celebrated in April and I am already celebrating because Professor Stephen Gibson's Frescoes is scheduled for release in April 2010. Carolyne Wright, Final Judge, The Idaho Prize for Poetry 2009 says "Stephen Gibson has created a sequence of poems with the same sweep and dimension as the art that inspired them".
